Yestereday, The Rwanda Stock Exchange traded a total turnover of Rwf8,771,500 from 51,500 BRALIRWA shares in 13 deals. The trading started at Rwf 170 per share, later on the market recorded one transaction of 3,300 BRALIRWA shares at Rwf175, and the BRALIRWA share price closed at Rwf170.
At the close of business, there were buyers of 3,100 BRALIRWA shares at Rfw170 and no sellers; an inverse of the previous day where the market closed with sellers and no buyers. This could be an indication that the demand for BRALIRWA shares is exceeding the supply.
On 24th February, 2011 KCB announced interim and final dividends of KShs 1.25 per share. The bank’s shares will trade cum dividend up to 9th May 2011.
The KCB and NMG counters did not record any activity and their share prices remained at Rwf 173 and Rwf 1200, respectively.
