Renowned female singer Ruth Nirere, aka Shanel, has said that she is working on her second album expected to be out by the end of this year.The diva is known for hits like Ndarota and Nakutaka, among many.
She has now recorded four songs and intends to work with different producers, both in Rwanda and Burundi, including producer Clement of Kinamusic records and Pastor P of Narrow Road Productions.
Among the songs on the new album is Ibyiza by’u Rwanda (the beauty of Rwanda). According to the artiste, the album will feature Rwandan tradition and contemporary music styles.
Shanel also told The New Times that she intends to host a powerful concert in Burundi because of the great reception accorded her by her fans when she performed there on Valentine’s Day.
“The reception was so good and high; my fans knew my songs; we almost sang together all my songs,” Shanel happily said.
Shanel is also generally enjoying great success in the East African music industry where she has collaborated with Uganda’s Eagles band singer Messach Semakula and Kenya’s Wyre.
She has just returned from Burundi where she was invited to add more excitement in their Valentine’s Day.
She said that she is looking forward to taking the world stage by storm.
