ETINCELLES want to make the most of their away goal when they host Congo Brazzaville’s AC Leopards in the return leg of the Orange Confederation Cup this Saturday.
The Western Province side held the Congolese to a 1-all draw in Pointe Noir thanks to Eddie Nshimiyimana’s goal.
Etincelles head coach Abdul Bizimana now hopes to complete the job in front of the home fans.

“I know that a goalless draw is enough for us to go through but we don’t want to stay back and defend. Instead, we want to take the game to the Congolese and put them under pressure right from the start,” the former Mukura coach said.

Despite the on-going financial crisis at the club, Bizimana has asked his players to put that aside and focus on the Cup game.

“It is never easy when dealing with financial issues but I have asked my players to try and focus on the task ahead.”

Two games are on cards this Friday. Libya’s El Nasr hosts CA Batna of Algeria while Morocco’s MAS entertains USS Krake of Benin in Casablanca.

In the first leg, El Nasr and CA Batna drew 2-2 while MAS and USS Krake also settled for a 1-all draw.

In Saturday’s other fixtures, DRC’s DC Motema Pembe will look to complete the job when they host Zanzibar’s KMKM in Kinshasa. The Congolese side enjoys a 4-0 first leg cushion.

Elsewhere, Uganda’s Victors host Mbabane Highlanders of Zimbabwe while Sofapaka play Angola’s AS Aviacao.
This year, the winner will pocket $660,000 in prize money.
