KIGALI - President Paul Kagame, yesterday, arrived in Davos, Switzerland to participate in the annual World Economic Forum (WEF) where he is expected to take part in a number of high level meetings including the MDG Advocacy Group, in his capacity as co-chair.
President Kagame is scheduled to participate, with World Bank President, Robert Zoellick, in an event hosted by the World Food Programme (WFP) to discuss partnership between the private and public sectors to promote food and nutrition security, and investment in the sector.
On Friday, President Kagame will so attend a gathering of world economic leaders that will discuss Global Health Cooperation.
Several Rwanda-specific events are scheduled during the week, including investment and bilateral meetings.
The WEC, that takes place every January in the small ski resort town of Davos- Klosters, provides a unique platform for world leaders, business executives, representatives of civil society and stakeholder groups, young global leaders, social entrepreneurs, technology pioneers and spiritual and cultural leaders to explore strategies and solutions that have positive transformational implications.
