Parents should help teachers

The issue of indiscipline in schools and poor performance has been troubling for a long time. As schools reopen for the new academic year, it should be noted that students cannot excel academically without discipline.

While children’s rights should be respected, allowing them to behave as they desire spoils them.  Children need proper upbringing if they are to benefit from the teachers’ efforts and excel academically.

Poor  upbringing of children has led to indiscipline in schools, poor performance and school dropout. It does not make sense for children to dropout of school before completing basic school levels. 

Parents who leave the responsibility of disciplining their children solely to teachers are totally wrong. It is a matter of cpllective effort, parents, too should play their part.
