Editor,

This letter is in reference to the headlines in yesterday's edition of your newspaper titled " Kigali investments reach Rwf 385 bn. "

It is a great pleasure to know that as many as 64 investment projects worth Rwf 384.6 billion  have already been approved by the Kigali City Construction One Stop Centre, which was established in April, last year.

This reflects the seriousness with which Kigali City Mayor Dr. Aisa Kirabo Kacyira and her team are working towards making Kigali a model city.

Interesting to note is the fact that there are five new hotel projects which have been approved. This will not only increase the room inventory, but will also offer all those who want to visit Kigali a wider selection of accommodation facilities.

What is also very interesting is that there are four projects approved for churches. In today's highly materialistic world, it is gratifying to know that the religious element is still very strong in Rwanda and is getting adequate importance in the development process of the city.

Wishing Mayor Kirabo and her team every success in making Kigali a " World Class” city in the New Year.
