While addressing the national conference on youth, MDGs and Volunteerism, Protais Mitali said that the youth can contribute a lot in achieving MDGs.
“We believe that MDGs can be achieved and we Rwandans demonstrated that we can,” he noted.
Mitali called upon the youth to use the conference’s opportunity and learn more about MDGs and volunteerism so that they gain the strategies and common actions for sustainable development.
According to Victoria Akyeampong, UNFPA Rwanda Resident Representative, in the framework of delivering as one UN reform in Rwanda, the UN has initiated a joint youth programme in collaboration with the government to address the rights and development needs of the Rwandan youth.
“The MDGs can only be achieved with the full involvement of people all over the world including the young people,” she stressed.
