Service delivery is important

Dear Editor, I find it very sad to see business owners as well as service providers reluctant to attend to customers. There is nothing worse than having a customer with money standing in front of a stall and treated like they were unimportant.Just the other day, I entered a stationery shop in Kigali town and needed a variety of items ranging from manila paper, staples, cello tape, marker pens, glue erasers and rubber band but guess what; I stood there like a log as the three shop attendants chatted endlessly about some incident that was none of my business.

Dear Editor,

I find it very sad to see business owners as well as service providers reluctant to attend to customers. There is nothing worse than having a customer with money standing in front of a stall and treated like they were unimportant.

Just the other day, I entered a stationery shop in Kigali town and needed a variety of items ranging from manila paper, staples, cello tape, marker pens, glue erasers and rubber band but guess what; I stood there like a log as the three shop attendants chatted endlessly about some incident that was none of my business.

I understand that it was their little kingdom-of-a-shop but I’m the one who had come to spend money in their small shop. I was innocently boosting their business. Anyway, I got a ‘wihangane sha’ meaning, ‘please be patient for a while’ comment.

I just walked out on the lazy shop attendants and entered another stationery shop that was more welcoming. Their attitude towards was amazing and I ended up buying more than I had planned to. Good customer serves will bring you profits.
