The officers were trained in operating in Airport environment, effects of global terrorism on the aviation industry, cargo, mail/currier security and handling, as well as Airport safety.
They were also lectured on customer care, national policy on animal export, drug detection and travel document identification.
The training organized by the force was conducted in partnership with the Rwanda Civil Aviation Authority (RCAA), Rwanda Development Board (RDB), cargo handling agencies and the Immigration Department.
Assistant Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Butera, who represented the Commissioner General of Police at the closing ceremony, advised the officers to use the knowledge acquired from the training in transforming their work environment.
