I couldn’t believe my eyes when I read, in yesterday’s paper, that Jean Pierre Habimana, an Intersec security guard, at the Dubai World’s Nyungwe Forest Lodge recovered a wallet containing US$8,000 that belonged to a client and immediately presented it intact to a front desk attendant (“Security guard’s honesty awes hotel clients”).
This act of honesty is all the more remarkable when one realizes that no one saw him pick it up and yet, he still did the honest thing. He showed the highest level of professionalism and dedication to his job. I am proud to call this man a compatriot.
I can only imagine just how thankful the client was. We always hear about the lack of customer care in this country but I guess that it isn’t as bad as we sometimes think. As long as we have people like Jean Pierre Habimana in our country we have hope. Thank you sir.
