Two new pastors were yesterday consecrated to lead at the Nyarugenge-based Inkuru-Nziza City Center Church.

According to the Senior Pastor and the church’s legal representative, Elie Ugirimbabazi, the move is a result of the church’s expansion which has led to the need for more church leaders to cater for the growing congregation.

The consecrated pastors are Elijah Kanamugire and Theogene Munyakazi who were senior ministers at the same church.

Inkuru Nziza City Center Church belongs to the Inkuru Nziza Churches Association in Rwanda, referred to as Brethren Assemblies in other countries.

Preaching at the consecration ceremony, Pastor Benjamin Bizimana urged the new pastors to put a lot of emphasis on preaching the gospel to the many people outside there who need to hear the good news.

“It is a universal mission that was left behind by Jesus when he was going back to heaven which we all must fulfill,” Pastor Bizimana said.

He further asked them to be holy and to lead God’s flock in a manner that pleases him.

Bizimana warned the new pastors against being like the clergy that strayed from the core teaching of the bible.

“They are no longer teaching holiness to their flock for fear of losing them. But I beseech you to tell Christians the truth and let them go if they want,” he said, adding that it is better to please God than human beings.

Inkuru Nziza Churches Association has a total of 165 churches located throughout the country, and thousands of followers.
