Corporate social responsibly is something that, I believe, should be the goal of every single Rwandan organization. It isn’t enough to make profits and pay taxes; you must be part and parcel of your community and be involved in addressing the challenges of the the community.
That is why I am so pleased with the local water and electricity utility company RECO-RWASCO.
I read in yesterday’s issue of this publication that employees of RECO-RWASCO in Gicumbi District, onFriday installed water and electricity in two homes of genocide survivors of Nyarutarama Cell and also donated an assortment of food stuff.
This kind of involvement, in the problems and challenges of the community, should be emulated by more companies.
