As part of a campaign to ensure better services delivery to the clients, MTN Rwanda on Tuesday, unveiled a new Customer Service Centre (CSC) in Musanze district, Northern Province
The service centre worth Rwf 25 million will provide a full complement of services that will include SIM Swaps, bill payments, data activation and business solution support.
At the official opening of the CSC, MTN’s COO, Andrew Rugege said that it was the company’s increased number of subscribers that the telecom is opening up more upcountry service centers.
He revealed that MTN Rwanda customer base has grown to over 2.3 million subscribers over the last 18 months their fastest growth rate since the company opened in 1998
“We have witnessed a remarkable growth in our customer base despite increased activity from other telecom providers operating in Rwanda ... we have now established at least 9 customer service centres around the country in order to facilitate clients.” Rugege said
The COO, said that the upcountry service centres will ensure easy access to information and MTN products which have been previously accessed by contacting service centres.
“Our commitment to Rwanda will be expressed by what we do, how far we go in extension of services and the manner in which we conduct our business’’ Rugege said
Present at the opening ceremony was the district Mayor Winifrida Mpembyemungu. She said that the new communication structure will help in development, and alos facilitate tourists using local telecoms
New buyers were offered one week period to win promotional products upon buying any MTN product, including mobile phones.
The service is meant to extend affordable, accessible and user friendly money transfer services to billions of un-banked people around the world.
