It was a fun filled Friday evening at Car Wash Bar and Restaurant in Kimuhurura as guests were treated to surprise entertainment from the U5 Entertainment Rwanda which is part of U5 Enterprise founded by J.B Toress in 2008 in the United States and has representation in over 67 countries across the world.
Clients of the local bar expected the usual performance from Prestige Band that plays every Friday, little did they know that a series of artistes from U5 Entertainment had something in store for them.
The performers who were comprised of the founder of U5 Enterprise Jay Toress, Burundian reggae music sensational Adjobalove, Veronica Candy, upcoming afro beat songstress CC together with backup singers and some U5 members, arrived at the venue at around 9p.m
Prestige Band had already set the mood for the night as they were doing live renditions of some African and western classics before paving the way for the U5 crew.
Their performance started on a low despite efforts by Jay and crew members to hype the event as the sound system quality was wanting.
However, the crew was determined to stage a good show; it began with Jay introducing his crew members followed by a live performance from Adjobalove who did live reggae renditions of the U5 song, Yes we do, and Haramera.
Jay started the second edition of their performance doing his debut single dubbed Curves; he was followed by CC, who also performed her latest single winter love that was received by wild cheers from the audience.
The show was crowned by Veronica Candy’s performance at around 11:30p.m who did cover songs Malaika and Naki Nairobi.
The idea behind U5 Entertainment Rwanda is to bring together people with different talents to share knowledge and experiences on how to better their careers.
