EAC: The Council should be kept out of Assembly business

My view is exactly the opposite; keep the Council out of the Assembly’s business. Yes, the election was fractitious, but the EALA managed to accomplish its task, which was to elect its own Speaker, in a democratic way as laid down by its rules and procedures.

Parliamentary processes were never meant to be consensual, and what we saw in Arusha were members exercising their prerogatives fully.
