Pepiniere beat Unity SC to go top of Pool A in division 2

Relegated from the Azam Rwanda Premier League last season after only one season, Pepiniere now lead the table in the second tier with 11 points, one ahead of second-placed Sorwathe FC, who beat Esperance 4-1. Jean Paul Muhoza’s team took the lead through striker Jean Claude Harihokubwabo in the 29th minute who doubled the lead in 47th minute. “I’m happy for a good result and appreciate the players’ performance but we will need to continue to work hard and try to win as many matches as we possibly can in a bid to return to the first division,” said Muhoza. Meanwhile, third-placed Etoile de l’Est FC lost 1-3 Rwamagana City.
