Former Miss Tanzania and movie star Wema Sepetu is in Kigali to attend the KFM Instagram (IG) party tomorrow, at Chilax Lounge in Nyarutarama.
The 29-year-old socialite arrived in Kigali on November 22, and addressed a press conference before appearing on KFM radio.
Wema, who is visiting Rwanda for her first time, said she felt so honoured to have made it to Kigali.
“I have been hearing a lot of things about Kigali, and Rwanda in general. How beautiful it is, and I’m finally here to experience it myself,” she said.
“I am always a sweetheart, so I am looking forward to meeting and sharing, above all have a great time with all the beautiful people of Rwanda,” she added.
Wema was crowned Miss Tanzania in 2006, and she went on to represent her country in Miss World 2006. She later became an actress, and today she is among the top female actresses in Tanzania. She has starred in prominent films like Lerato, Dj Ben among others.
The show, dubbed “KFM Instagram (IG) party”, is organised by Kigali’s KFM Radio station.
According to the organisers, the event is a celebration of Instagram as an influential social media platform, as well as to appreciate KFM radio listeners.
Themed “Dress to Impress”, the event will include meet and greet sessions, photo shoots, IG interaction and music as part of the event’s highlights.
Gates open at 7pm, and entry fee is Rwf5000.
