Making education meaningful and relevant in African countries

In Africa, achieving a meaningful and relevant education means addressing a web of challenges in society in order to attain a transformative outcome. However, only 43 per cent of young people have access to secondary education and only eight per cent can access tertiary education, according to UNESCO’s Global Monitoring Report, 2016.
