APR skipper Patrick Mafisango is on the verge of joining Tanzania Premier league side Azam FC after agreeing terms with the club.
Tanzanian media reported recently that Mafisango would feature for their side next season after having a good season with the army side.
Azam has even requested Rwanda’s football governing body, Ferwafa to issue the player’s International Transfer certificate (ITC) before the team can head to France for a training camp.
APR, who chose not to renew the defender’s contract, told Times Sport that it is entirely up to him.
Mafisango is expected to link up with Mrisho Ngassa who recently crossed from Simba FC for Rwf29m.
During their pre-season training camp in France, Azam which finished fifth in the Tanzanian league will play against five French first division sides namely; Nice, Lens, Souchax, Lille and Auxere.
