Something to learn from the World Cup

The 2010 World Cup Finals may have come to an end; however, there is a legacy that they will definitely leave, not only for the organizers, hosts or the foot balling world, but to anyone who dared pay attention to the tournament.

The 2010 World Cup Finals may have come to an end; however, there is a legacy that they will definitely leave, not only for the organizers, hosts or the foot balling world, but to anyone who dared pay attention to the tournament.

By critically looking at the best performers at the South African tournament, there is one thing they had in common.

The teams were relatively young and had spent close to two years, training and getting to know each other. Their high level of preparation was evident when they played their matches.

At the end of the day, Spain, Germany, Netherlands, Uruguay and our own Ghana showed that when you prepare well in advance and believe in what you are putting together, success is guaranteed.

Despite the fact that it is only one team that can be champions, it does not take away the remarkable performance the other teams have demonstrated.

The same principle should be applied to our daily lives and the projects we undertake. If you believe in what you are doing and you prepare accordingly, you will achieve your goals.

There will always be doubters and detractors, but with strong commitment and desire, nothing can stop you.
