Let's keep our culture of peaceful campaigns

Editor,

RE: “Local Govt, Police draw security plan for presidential campaigns” (The New Times, July 11).

I concur with Minister Francis Kaboneka of Local Government that “incident-free presidential campaigns and elections have become a norm and culture in Rwanda.” I think the world has witnessed it in the previous elections.

So much that the European Union recently announced they are not coming to Rwanda to oversee the presidential campaigns and elections. For them, they don’t have a story to tell.

Let’s go Rwandans, let’s vote well, come August 4.
