AFTER lifting the Primus league and Cecafa Kagame Cup, APR Coach Erik Paske is confident his guns can go on to win a treble by lifting the MTN Peace Cup.
The army side is in the last four of the competition where they play Electrogaz this Saturday at Nyamirambo stadium. Should they win, they will play Rayon Sport in the final slated for June 19.
“We are close to our target. We have two titles in the bag and just need to maintain our focus in our next two games,” Paske noted.
The Dutch tactician whose contract with APR expires October this year has vowed to leave a lasting legacy by being only the second man to win a treble for the military side.
If Paske wins a treble this season, he will be the second coach to do so in the club’s 16-year history. In 2007, DRC Coach Andy Mfutila rewrote history when he reached the landmark.
APR wrapped up a record eleventh title on Wednesday when they thrashed Etincelles 4-1 at Nyamirambo stadium.
