There was low activity on local bourse yesterday, the Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) daily market for Tuesday indicates.
According to the report, only a few equities changed hands, while the bonds market was quiet. Bralirwa pushed 2,300 shares in one deal worth Rwf322,000 turnover during the session. The beverages firm’s counter closed at Rwf140, unchanged from Monday’s closing share price.
Bank of Kigali was also constant, closing at Rwf228. The commercial bank recorded a total turnover of Rwf273,600 from 1,200 shares traded in one deal.
Meanwhile, the Share Index for local firms was stable at 119.91 points, while the All Share Index closed at 127.26 points. Both the RSI and ALSI have remained unchanged for almost three weeks now. In a related development, Crystal Telecom closed at Rwf90; Equity Bank at Rwf334; NMG at Rwf1,200, while KCB was at Rwf330, and Uchumi Supermarkets at Rwf104.
At the end of the formal trading hours, the Bank of Kigali counter had outstanding offers of 576,200 shares at between Rwf227 and Rwf245 and an outstanding bid for 5,000 shares at Rwf220.
On the Bralirwa counter, there were outstanding offers of 17,300 shares, ranging from Rwf140 to Rwf143 and an outstanding bid for 300 shares at Rwf137. Crystal Telecom received outstanding bids for 6,000 shares at between Rwf85 and Rwf88, but shareholders were willing to sell 87,000 shares at a high of between Rwf93 and Rwf98.
