GABONESE singer Oliver N’Goma is dead. The famous singer died on June 7 2010, in a hospital in the Gabonese capital, Libreville. He suffered kidney failure.
N’Goma, 51, was born in south-west of Gabon and started singing at the age of eight. Music and cinema have been the two passions of this artist. He made his debut in integrating the high school band, Capo Sound, as a guitarist.
According to local artist, Masamba Intore N’Goma’s death was a tragic one. “I first met him in Brussels during a music festival,” Masamba told The New Times.
He added that Africa has lost a great artist and a Pan-African. “He had a great and nature music talent.” N’Goma performed in Rwanda in 2008, during the Kwita Izina ceremony.
