Mobile phone penetration rate drops marginally

Rwanda’s mobile penetration rate has dropped marginally to 78.5 per cent in October, 78.6 per cent in September and 80 per cent in August, Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority (RURA) monthly report for October indicates. This translates into 8.845 million active subscribers during the month, down from 8.853 million users in September. This is a decrease of 0.4 per cent of the total number of active mobile phone users over the month.
