AS Kigali are determined to register their first points when they host Marines in the Azam Rwanda Premier league this afternoon at Kigali Regional Stadium.

The City of Kigali sponsored side was defeated by Sunrise 1-0 in a game which coach Eric Nshimiyimana criticised his side for lacking concentration.

“The teams have improved significantly this season and I have told my players to be focused throughout the whole game. We will go into Friday’s game looking for nothing less than a win and I believe we are able to achieve our target,” Nshimiyimana said.

However, his counterpart, Abdul Kalim ‘Coka’ Nduhirabandi of Marines, believes his side is capable of beating AS Kigali.

Nduhirabandi said, “We needto win the game and move up the table. I know it will be a difficult match because AS Kigali lost their opening game and will be looking to bounce back, so we have to be careful.”

There are four matches that will take place tomorrow and these include: Kirehe host Sunrise, Espoir will hope to shock Rayon Sports in Rusizi, Police will face an inform Bugesera side that is currently top of the league table, while Mukura will host Etincelles at Huye Stadium.

Action continues on Sunday with Gicumbi taking on defending champions APR at Kigali Regional Stadium, Kiyovu and Amagaju will lock horns at Mumena Stadium, while the last fixture of the day will see Musanze take on Pepinieres at Nyakinama turf in Musanze.
