The national handball league returns this weekend after a two-month break with two games on match-day 14 scheduled to take place today and tomorrow.

 

Second-placed APR handball club resume the chase for the title against Nyakabanda, who are in seventh place at Kimisagara youth sports center ground this afternoon seeking to win and climb to the top of the table.

 

The military side has 37 points, two points behind leaders Police from 13 matches while Nyakabanda have17 points in 11 games.

Two-time defending champions and league leaders Police will be up against Ecole Scolaire Urumuri on Sunday in Karongi district—the student side, Urumuri are currently in eighth position with 16 points from 11 games.

The league was put on hold in July to allow the national team that was preparing for the 10th edition of the East African Military Games that took place in Rwanda and the U-18 Zone 4, 5 & 6 Championship that took place in Yaounde, Cameroon as well as the Africa Junior Championship that was held in Bamako.
