MUSANZE – Northern Province Governor, Aime Bosenibamwe, has urged the business community to engage in training programmes to develop their business skills as part of efforts to attain economic independence.

Addressing taxpayers in Musanze district recently, Bosenibamwe encouraged private and public institutions including banks, hotels, and cooperatives to focus on human capacity development.

“Countries like China, Japan are what they are today through developing their human capacity skills,” Bosenibamwe noted.

He advised the local business community to act in a more professional manner in their businesses to ensure that they remain more competitive.

“For any business to thrive, a business plan, focus and accountability is very important,” he said. He also encouraged the business owners to pay their taxes on time to avoid interruptions in their operations.

The Deputy Commissioner for large taxpayers at RRA, Ben Kagarama, urged taxpayers to always attend tax education workshops instead of sending representatives to attend on their behalf.
