Rwanda international Jacques Tuyisenge continued his impressive form in the Kenyan Premier League after netting a crucial goal against Sony Sugar on Saturday.
The former Police striker scored a late goal to save Gor Mahia from dropping points against Sony on Saturday. Tuyisenge gave Gor Mahia a deserved lead in the 86th minute.
The Kenya Premier league’s most expensive player (Ksh4 million) has scored four goals in four matches despite nursing an injury.
The 24-year-old Amavubi forward has been struggling with a knee injury since he joined Gor Mahia, and was benched for the match Gor lost against Tusker last week. His goal on Saturday moved his side to sixth position, 14 points behind leaders Tusker and Mathare United.
After sixth games Gor Mahia are in 9th position with 14 points, behind Mathare United and Tusker FC who have 20 points.
“It is good always to score goals because it brings more confidence, but my wish is to see my team win more games and we are doing all we can to win more games. I have been struggling with injuries but I am trying to get back to my best form. I believe I will get better,” Tuyisenge said.
