Over five million Bralirwa shares exchanged hands in three deals realising Rwf979.966 million in total turnover yesterday, the Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) daily market report for Thursday indicates. The counter was, however, unchanged from Wednesday’s trading session, closing at Rwf174. The RSE Share Index and the All Share Index were also stable to close at 145.98 and 130.50 points, respectively.
The other counters were quiet. Bank of Kigali was at Rwf280, Crystal Telecom closed at Rwf90, and Equity Bank at Rwf334. The NMG counter closed at Rwf1,200, while KCB was at Rwf330, and Uchumi Supermarkets at Rwf104.
Bank of Kigali got outstanding offers of 188,600 shares at between Rwf274 and Rwf290, and a bid for 4,100 shares at Rwf270 during yesterday’s trading session. On the Bralirwa counter, there were outstanding bids for 430,000 shares at Rwf163, but shareholders were only offering 5,900 shares at a higher rate of Rwf174. Crystal Telecom received outstanding offers of 567,700 shares at between Rwf90 and Rwf99, however, investors were willing to acquire 86,500 shares at just Rwf81. On the KCB counter, there was an outstanding offer of 9,700 shares at Rwf340 and no bids.
On the bond market, there was an outstanding bid for Rwf500,000 worth of bonds at Rwf100, but there were no offers.
