MISS Rwanda, Grace Bahati and her boyfriend have dismissed Facebook rumours that they are married.
“It’s crazy. K8 and I aren’t married. I didn’t write that, and I wonder who stole my password (Facebook) and wrote such a thing,” Bahati said, “I only share my password with K8, because we trust each other. He is not the one who wrote it, it must have been someone else.”
However, in a previous interview, Bahati confessed to The New Times that she is dating K8. “K8 is my boyfriend, but that doesn’t mean we’re married. In any case, we’re both still under the legal age of getting married; K8 is 20, and I’m 19,” Bahati defended.
Meanwhile, the country’s telecommunication companies Rwandatel and MTN are in a joint collaboration to help the young couple, track the person who spread the rumour on Facebook.
“I gave Rwandatel and MTN my password, and after the investigation, they will activite my account,” Bahati said.
Bahati, a student at Lycee de Kigali Secondary School, was crowned Miss Rwanda on December 18, 2009 in a race against 13 other beauty contestants.
