Police, yesterday, said two hand grenade attacks in Kigali centre and Nyabugogo Taxi Park killed one person and injured 28 others on Saturday night.
“Between 7:00 pm and 8:00pm, a hand grenade exploded in the business centre and one person died. Soon after, another grenade exploded in Nyabugogo,” Spokesman, Supt Eric Kayiranga said.
He said those injured were in a stable condition. “The injuries were minor,” he added.
Kayiranga said that those behind the attacks had not been identified by press time, but investigations are ongoing.
“People should stay calm. Those who carried out the attacks will be apprehended and punished,” Kayiranga said.
