The development was confirmed to Times Sport yesterday by club president Olivier Nizeyimana.

The Huye-based Mukura have been running after Ndayishimiye’s signature since 2013 but had failed to secure the striker as he still had a contract with Vital’O.

The arrival of the forward was also welcomed by compatriot Godfrey Okoko, the Mukura head coach, who was recently offered a one-year contract renewal.

“I know Ndayishimiye quiet well. We have been following him closely and finally he is here. He is a talented and skilled striker. There is no doubt he will be very important in our strike force as we seek to break into the big four,” said the Burundian-born Okoko yesterday.

Former giants Mukura, who had a poor showing last season to finish 10th in the 14-team league, will open the 2015/16 campaign playing host to Andre Casa Mbungo’s Police FC on September 18 at Muhanga Stadium.
