Farmgate prices of pyrethrum increase

Pyrethrum farmers in the country are now earning more money from selling their crop directly to a processor. The farmers who used to earn Frw600 currently get Frw1,000 per kilogramme. The increase of farmgate prices is partly attributed to the high prices of pyrethrum and its products on the international markets. But largely to adding value to the pyrethrum products.
