Hobe Rwanda is a cultural event initiated by MAV Company to promote Rwandan culture through education, music and poetry.
Folk music enthusiasts should expect performances from some of the country’s finest such as, Jean-Marie Muyango, Mariya Yohana, Mighty Popo, Intore Masamba, Ben Ingabo (Kipeti), and Kalisa Rugano.
Also on the entertainment lineup are, Jules Sentore, Daniel Ngarukiye, Diana Teta, and Inganzo Ngali.
The Managing Director of MAV, Raoul Rugamba, urged young people who are in the arts, and paintings to come and share their artworks with the rest of the audience.
“This year's event will be exciting and spectacular because people will have chance to learn more about the Rwandan culture, music and other traditional activities,” he said, adding that, “it aims at educating the youth about the beauty of Rwanda’s culture so that they can love its richness. But also teach other people about Rwanda’s tradition.”
During the festival, visual artists will create art of all mediums depicting the Rwandan culture, and pieces will be on display for sale.
For those wishing to try their own hand at art, creation stations for both children and adults will be set up at the venue of the concert.
The festival will be crowned with a gala night at Kigali Serena Hotel, tomorrow; from 6pm to 9pm. Guests will be entertained by a host of talented folk artistes and tickets will be available at the venue at Rwf10,000.
