Why you should not throw away cow hooves

Many people love their meat, particularly beef. Not even calls by health experts to stay away from red meat given the risks associated with it have tamed their appetite. Ironically, cow hooves, which have been declared healthier than beef, are shunned.

“When these bones are stewed, minerals dissolve in the boiling liquid and while consuming the soup, these nutrients come along,” he explains.

Chinese research on bone broth revealed that the calcium present in the bones is useful in controlling pain and inflammation, cramps, muscle spasms, delusions, depression, insomnia, irritability, hyperactivity, anxiety, palpitations, hypertension, high cholesterol, allergies, brittle nails, periodontal and dental disease, pica, rickets, osteomalacia, osteoporosis and any situation that creates bone loss such as aging, immobilisation, postmenopause, and caffeine.

Dr Natasha Campbell Mc Bride, a Russian neurologist in an online article on bone broth, also says that the collagen found in bone broth heals the gut lining with leaking problems.

“A leaky gut is the root of many health problems, especially allergies, autoimmune disorders, and many neurological disorders. The collagen found in bone broth acts like a soothing balm to heal and seal your gut lining,” she says.

This cow hoove diet is often used to treat children with autism and other disorders rooted in gut dysfunction, but even other people with gut related problems can benefit from it, according to various studies.

When it comes to other illnesses, studies also found out that bone broth is also a staple remedy for acute illnesses such as cold and flu. Soup from the cow bones if well spiced opens up the airways better than hot water.

Fighting athritis

Studies published in the American Journal of Nutrition indicate that boiled hooves contain essential amino acids that are necessary in the fight against athritis.

Athritis sufferers include men and women, children and adults. Approximately 350 million people worldwide have athritis. Nearly 40 million persons in the United States are affected by arthritis, including over a quarter million children! More than 21 million Americans have osteoarthritis.

Gelatin in bone broths contains essential amino acids arginine, glycine, glutamine and proline.  These amino acids also contribute to stock’s healing properties.

Because joint problems can be caused by cellulite leaking as a result of lack of connective tissue, cow hooves have the necessary tissue and this is why they are recommended for those suffering from osteoporosis and related bone problems.

Surprisingly, research also shows that people who take a lot of this composition tend to have very smooth skin because of the dense connective tissue provided through these meals.  The skin also becomes turgid because there is reduced cellulite leakage.
