RWANDAN referees had to be whisked away by military police after AS Vita’s controversial 3-0 home win over Nigeria’s Enyimba in the 1/8th round of the Orange Confederation Cup. There are wide reports that centre referee Hudu Munyemana and his assistants Felicien Kabanda and Eric Ruhamiriza made a number of poor calls against the Nigerian side provoking club fans to throw insults at them. The result left the Black Dolphins with a very good chance of reaching the next round. AS Vita’s goals were scored by Albert Mfongang, Ilifo Ilonga and Bongeli Lofo.
