Handball reigning league champions Police will take on bottom-placed Groupe Scolaire Rambura in their second game of the second round hoping to register victory that will send the former top of the league ahead of their archrivals APR.
Police are tied on 33 points with APR on top of the league table but Police has a game in hand.
In an interview with Times Sport, Police head coach Antoine Ntibanganya revealed they are extremely devoted to this match as it will move them three points clear on top in this much intensive title race where both teams have spared no room for a loss.
“I have told my boys to do whatever it takes to win this crucial game and sincerely they are also very much determined because the title race is very much demanding,” said Ntibanganya.
He further added that they expect a tough encounter because Groupe Scolaire Rambura will be playing at their ground in front of their fans but insisted that it will not put them under pressure because it is not the first time they are going to face them. In the first round, Police defeated GS Rambura by 38-23.
