I like simple things; I can wear a suit and loafers in office. I sometimes wear sandals. I like old school clothes too, like Polo shirts and Wrangler jeans.

Do you have a stylist?

I’m my own stylist. I travel a lot and I get inspiration from what I see and who I meet. I always try to pick something from some of the people I meet.

What is your kind of accessories?

When I was still active in music, I used to love flat caps a lot. I was known as the guy with the flat cap. But these days, I’m into Ray-Ban sunglasses and the original ones of course because the view inside is different. I can look at somebody and they won’t know and you can wear them at night too.

What fashion accessory can’t you resist?

Polo Blue by Ralph Lauren. It’s a good perfume and a bit expensive but I like to smell good. It kind of identifies me when I pass by people.

What’s your fashion weakness?

My hair and beard, I neglect them a lot. I used to go to the salon three times a week but I realised you can get diseases from there; also, it doesn’t feel good when they touch my head. I prefer shaving myself.

What trends do you think people should stay away from?

Seriously skinny jeans; they make boys look like girls, I don’t know why. But if you’re a skinny guy, why put on something that makes you skinnier?

Any fashion advice for upcoming artistes?

Be creative and unique, and think twice before you wear something. On stage, I’d always wear a flat cap and a big long sleeved t-shirt designed by Kivu.
