The National volleyball team head coach Paul Bitok has warned his players that only those who prove their worth against Cameroon will earn a place in the final team that will play in the Africa Zone V Championships slated for May 1-6 in Kigali.

Cameroon, which is a continental powerhouse, plays Rwanda in the first of three friendlies this evening. The national volleyball team will be boosted by the fact that last year they beat Cameroon 3-1 in a world cup qualifier.

“We need to win these games for the good of our preparations, it will boost our morale and give us a strong mentality ahead of the upcoming matches,” Bitok said.

The team arrived in Douara, yesterday afternoon and held a training session ahead of their first game against the hosts.

Bitok also praised RwandAir for sponsoring the national team. The airline will meet the transport costs of the team.
