How would you describe your style?

Jean FideleIhose aka Ganza,

I wear only designer clothes from abroad; my aim is to keep up with the current designs, especially long coats. I like Gucci and Santiago shoes, preferably leather, tight pants and t-shirts.

Do you have a designer?

I have four designers, two for shoes and two for clothes. When they buy something new from abroad, they let me know. Sometimes I get different materials and blend them to make an outfit.

What accessories do you like?

I like African crafts like wrist bands and necklaces. I also like CheGuevera necklaces and leather strapped watches.

What inspired you to join fashion?

Nobody inspired me into fashion; I always wanted to be smart. In my teen years, I played soccer and basketball but I dropped all that for fashion.

Which local designers stand out for you?

Rwanda Clothing and Zahabu Fashion have done something for Rwanda design industry.

What’s your fashion weakness?

I have many coats, shoes and tops but I’m drawn to trousers most.

What styles should people keep away from?

There are a lot of things that can mess up one’s look. It can be the wrong shoes, makeup, jewellery or even socks. However if you are not a fashion freak, you might not see it.

What fashion advice do you have for people?

People should try and follow fashion talk or news to know what’s appropriate and what’s in vogue. Or, they should consult with models; one of our roles is to show people how to go about great style.
