I have a message for the Federation of Rwanda Cycling: Rwandans are extremely contented with the performance of their cyclists. These young boys and girls are doing very well; we have no doubt that, if you maintain the impetus people like Valens Ndayisenga, Adrien Niyonshuti, Jeanne d’Arc Girubuntu and other active Rwandan cyclists, we will very soon rule Africa in this sport.

It is very clear that our cyclists are likely to return home with a gold medal than their counterparts in other sports disciplines; therefore, more efforts need to be made to support the sport; the federation should come up with a good plan so that not only the government but also individual Rwandans and friends can commit financial support toward this fast developing sport in the country.

We are eager to see you grow further; Rwandans, including our ever-supportive leadership, are willing to support you.
