This is a very good move. Information Communication Technology (ICT) should stop being seen as an end in itself but a means to achieving something greater. I see a lot of benefits coming out of this initiative if students embrace it. I see great improvement in the education sector in Rwanda especially since these plans are going to start at the lower level such as primary schools.
I hope lecturers will also teach students on ways to use online content credibly to avoid academic malpractices such as plagiarism. Finally, I hope students use technology for the better rather than watching useless content.
We are proud to have Dr. Lwakabamba as the minister for education; we look forward to an education system that produces better and wiser products.
