Rayon Sports 1-2 AS Kigali
Gicumbi 0-0 Kiyovu

AS Kigali edged Rayon Sports 2-1 yesterday in a very tense encounter at the Kigali regional stadium to move up to second place on the National Football League table. Eric Nshimiyimana’s side bagged maximum points to continue a good run of form that started with their triumph in the Ombudsman Cup a week ago after beating Police 1-0 in the final.

Rayon Sports coach Andy Mfutila, who is yet to win a game since he joined the Nyanza based club last month, was met with calls of ‘better results’ from many blues fans after the match.

The former APR coach’s reign has seen him preside over two draws and two losses despite assuring the club faithful that he would win the league in his first season.

AS Kigali now have 21 points two behind table leaders APR who handed Amagaju their first home defeat on Saturday.

Rayon Sports are in third position with 18 points, one ahead of Police FC.
