I like scarves because I can dress up like anybody else but I have to find a nice scarf. It gives me the opportunity to look different and also, I can style it in a different way.
Where do you shop for clothes?
I don’t have a specific place. I shop from different places; I can go to Nyabugogo or Mulindi, whichever place in Kigali I can shop from, as long as I come across something I like.
What do you consider when shopping for clothes?
I like colour, the quality of the fabric, but I also consider how the cloth will look on me, especially because of the fact that I don’t like styles which expose my body.
What is your favourite fashion accessory?
A bracelet. I like having stuff around my hands.
What’s your favourite clothing item on a guy?
On a guy I’m not very sure. But the shoes do capture my attention; I find men’s shoes very interesting by the way.
What’s your favourite scent?
What is the most expensive fashion accessory that you own?
I’m not very expensive when it comes to accessories, but the most expensive item I have is a bag worth 160 euros, its Prada. It was a gift from my sister.
Any fashion advice?
One of the most important things about fashion is that one has to wear something that makes them feel comfortable. You might want to look like somebody else but you can never be them. One doesn’t have to follow a specific trend or design; I think one can define his or her sense of style, like me, I try to wear Islamic clothes, because they make me feel comfortable and confident.
