The Automobile Guarantee Fund (AGF), established by the government to compensate people injured or whose property is destroyed by unidentified or uninsured automobiles, has vowed to provide quality services.
This was revealed yesterday by the company’s Director General, Bernadin Ndashimiye, during a one-day meeting that brought together AGF officials and stake holders at a local hotel.
Speaking to The New Times, Ndashimiye said that AGF commits to improve on service delivery and build capacity that suits their role as key institution that saves people's lives by ensuring the quickest medical attention to victims.
“We should not focus on consequences that result from the accidents only,but we should put in place measures that prevent the root causes” he said.
"Our main aim is to work towards quality services and help as many people as possible because there are numerous people out there who don't know we exist".
He added that the stakeholders were called to review and discuss progress in the coordination, harmonization and alignment of programmes and activities in order to ensure the lives of people are protected.
Ndashimiye underscored the need for the stakeholders to increase service delivery if their goals are to be achieved.

“This forum will help us to create synergies and build the capacity which enables the harmonization of our policies to move on smoothly,” said Assistant Commissioner John Bosco Kabera, the head of Traffic Police.
