RUSIZI - Bureau de Coopération (BUCO), a Switzerland organisation has donated Rwf51million towards different development projects in Rusizi district.
Speaking to The New Times on Monday, the district Mayor, Fabien Sindayiheba, said that the money would be allocated to capacity building projects.
“This donation will be used in different activities, including training district employees in the English language because many of them have not yet learnt it,” Sindayiheba said.
Land committees would also be trained on various land laws, district development plans and how to implement the new district master plan, he added.
Sindayiheba was optimistic that the donation would help the district improve socially and economically.
According to Sindayiheba, BUCO has promised to donate more funds to the district in the near future.
