RWANDA Athletics Federation will meet this week to select a formidable team to compete in the 13th World Indoor Championships set for March 12-14 in Doha, Qatar.
The federation’s Secretary General Jack Ngabonziza told Times Sport yesterday that they intend to send a strong team. “We must compete in this competition.
We are meeting this week to select who is representing the country in Doha Indoor championships,” Ngabonziza confirmed.
In last year’s edition held in Valencia, Spain, Rwanda’s sole participant Sylvain Rukundo failed to qualify for the finals of the 3000m.
Rukundo finished tenth in the second heat clocking 8:02:49, his personal best for the season.
