The railway link welcome

Editor, I read in yesterday’s issue of The New Times that the EAC railway link will be ready by 2014. This is very good news as there are very many advantages to be enjoyed. Editor,

I read in yesterday’s issue of The New Times that the EAC railway link will be ready by 2014. This is very good news as there are very many advantages to be enjoyed.

First and foremost, exporters and importers will be able to transport heavier cargo, as compared with road and air transport.

I also believe it will even be less costly and goods are less likely to be damaged as they won’t spend so long on the journey, as is with road transport.

The advantages are definitely more than I can list  here. However, I hope the EAC leaders will try their best to ensure that this project comes to fruition. We wouldn’t want to hear that another deadline has been set, say in 2022.
