Apart from Kidumu and few other musicians, we’ve not seen a musician doing a live performance. They always rely on CDs playing in the back ground, and what they do then is simply miming.
Not something good for music lovers because sometimes it looks like anyone can do whatever they do on stage. Now it looks like Kitoko is joining the class of artists who give it all and make live performances.
‘I preferred a live performance because its my ambition to become an international musician and you can’t make it on the international scene while performing on CDs” said Kitoko in a telephone interview.
The machines Kitoko will use are from Goma, DRC though the sound system will be run by Cobra’s (Cadillac Night Club) men. Behind the machines will are regular live band performers like Eric and Karim of Black and White Night Club.
‘With such a team and machines, I think the show will go down in the country’s music industry as one of the best Album launches. “I call out to all my fans to come and witness the best of me,” promised the ‘Ikiragi’ star.
Kitoko’s show will take place in Amahoro Stadium’s parking lot and entrance to the star studded show is Rwf 5,000 and Rwf 3,000 for the VIP and ordinary seats respectively.
